Labor joined together August 28 to kick off the 2008 Fundraising Campaign for the United Way. There was a great turnout for the annual event. Business Manager Bob Lawless and the Members of Steamfitters Local 353 participate in the 2008 Labor Day Parade. Members of the Peoria Federation of Teachers march in the 2008 Labor Day Parade. Keith Gleason and Members of Teamsters Local 627 participate in the 2008 Labor Day Parade Business Manager Steve Clement and Members of Plasterers and Cement Masons Local 18 Business Manager Bill Comstock and the Members of the Sheet Metal Workers Local 1 participate in the 2008 Labor Day Parade. Business Manager Brian Stanley and the Members of Iron Workers Local 112 turn out for the 2008 Labor Day Parade. Phil Salzer, who has served as Recording Secretary of the Labor Council of West Central Illinois for 30 years, was selected to be the Grand Marshal of the 2008 Labor Day Parade.
