Phil Salzer Grand Marshal for 2008 Labor Day Parade

Salzer, in addition to his service as a member of the Peoria Federation of Teachers also is a member of the International Union of Operating Engineers Local 649 and a member of AFSCME. "Phil was selected in large part for the positive image he presents for Organized Labor in the community.  Phil has served on a variety of boards in the area and is always willing to help out as needed in the communtiy.", said Nancy Gardner, Treasurer of the Labor Council of West Central Illinois, AFL-CIO.
